A visible upgrade from previous models which you can see right after unpacking the product – better sound, greater quality, better feel, sleek design. It looks and feels like a quality product that I will be using on an everyday basis.
Better design, better battery
The ear pods come with a magnetic cover which charges with a thunderbolt wire. In contrast, the i7 charged with a normal Android charger. So far, the battery lasts longer than the i7. The effort put into the product is visible. They are touch-based, and not button based, with the only button being on the charging and storage box which is used to charge the AirPods when they are inside.
Both the earphones and the box have blue or red LED lights to show the charging level of the products. The product is also smaller in size than the previous model – probably the closest to the originals. They fit into the ear well, and are much more pleasant to use. There is a pop up window which shows the charging levels of both the box and the earphones.
Better Sounds quality
Although some people complained about the sound quality, I am happy with the quality. I have not had the chance to compare it to the i10 quality, nor to the original AirPods (which would be much more expensive) – the sound quality compares with the original Apple wired earphones which I have. Again, definitely an upgrade from i7 where the sound quality was bad and I was unable to use the product unless necessary as it was unpleasant to the ears.
I cannot confirm how long the product will last yes as it is too early to make those conclusions, but this is definitely a good quality product for the cost.
The delivery
Mine were shipped on the next day and received a week after, when I did not expect them. This can differ based on country you are buying it from, as well as your local post office work.
Cons?
The packaging comes with almost no instructions, aside of how to set the product up, so I had difficulties figuring out how to get the pop up window to show up, how to change songs and pause the player.
